Empowering the Church
Rev. Isaac C. Hayes has a heart for evangelizing unbelievers and empowering believers. He is a critical thinker committed to sound biblical exegesis and application of theological principles to the contemporary culture.
Hayes is a native Chicagoan and Assistant Pastor at the Apostolic Church of God in Chicago, Illinois, where Dr. Byron T. Brazier is pastor. At the Apostolic Church of God Hayes serves on staff as the Director of the Auxiliary Department and is responsible for Ministry Development, Stewardship, and Community Engagement. He also ministers the Word during the Sunday morning worship services and midweek Bible classes and is a seminar and conference speaker.
Beyond the ministry of the Word, Hayes is a charismatic leader who has served as the Assistant Secretary and Assistant Treasurer for the Illinois District Council Young People's Union of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc.
Hayes is also a strategic thinker, assisting with the planning of Apostolic Church of God’s conferences, revivals, and retreats, and has provided critical input as a member of the youth, young adult, and men's leadership teams.
Rev. Hayes is a dedicated student of the Holy Scriptures with a Master of Divinity degree from Moody Theological Seminary in Chicago, Illinois. He is a doctoral student at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois.
Engaging the Community
Understanding that God has called believers to be contributing members of our society, Hayes has engaged in civic advocacy. He has run for public office, been a political strategist for numerous campaigns, and served on the Illinois State Treasurer's Advisory Council for Financial Education and Literacy. He has always been available to help under-served and under-privileged communities by opposing public transportation rate increases, the closing of public schools and mental health centers, and gang violence.
A firm believer in the divinely ordained institution of marriage, Hayes is married to his wonderful wife Evangelist Dr. Latouna Hayes, who has her Ph.D. in Christian Counseling.
